Public Domain

Public Domain is a variety show organized by and starring high school students. The best songs, acting scenes, and musical numbers, either created
by students or recreated from famous media, are put together into one show to showcase everyone’s talents.

In Book of Mormon (Public Domain ’23) I played Elder Cunningham, a curious but loud Mormon, in a recreation of “Hello!” from the musical The Book of Mormon to open the entire variety show that year. The musical tells the story of two young Mormon missionaries who travel to Africa to preach the Mormon religion, only to discover they have much more to learn about the real world than they have to teach about Mormonism.

In Student Written Scene  (Public Domain ’23) I played Phoebe, an eccentric British PR manager, in a student-written scene in the acting portion of the year's variety show. The scene was about a celebrity who has become stuck up in her fame but is brought back down to earth by the people around her.

For Nicole Kidman’s AMC  (Public Domain ’24),  I self-wrote a recreation of the AMC promo where Nicole Kidman walks through the theater, introducing AMC and the film. This promo plays every time I see a movie, so I changed some lines to fit my school’s variety show and filmed me walking through our theater.
